TECH EMPOWERMENT FOR EMPLOYMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Since our inception, IT For Youth Ghana has transformed the lives of over 200 young individuals through our flagship six-month training program, equipping them with essential digital skills to thrive in the modern workforce. Among our participants, 67% are Senior High School graduates who previously lacked access to technology education due to financial barriers. Today, these talented individuals are carving out successful careers in programming, web development, graphic design, and other high-demand tech fields.
We are particularly proud of our commitment to gender inclusion, with 40% of our trainees being women. By creating opportunities for young women to excel in technology, we are not only breaking barriers but also driving diversity and innovation in the industry.

REACHING MORE WITH ONLINE LEARNING
To expand our impact and address barriers to accessibility, we launched a two-month online learning platform that empowered 50 students with practical courses in web development, coding, and digital marketing. This initiative has successfully bridged the geographical divide, offering learners from remote areas the opportunity to acquire essential digital skills from the comfort of their homes. Reflecting our commitment to inclusive education, the majority of the online participants were women, reinforcing our goal of fostering diversity and equity in technology education.
TECH AWARENESS OUTREACH
Through our Tech Awareness Outreach initiative, we are fostering early interest in technology among Ghana’s youth. This program engaged 800 Junior and Senior High School students across 20 schools, introducing them to the transformative power of digital skills.
The initiative emphasizes the importance of starting their digital learning journey early and explores the vast opportunities available in the tech industry. By raising awareness and sparking curiosity, we inspire students to envision a future in technology, equipping them with the motivation to pursue tech-related education and careers.

INSPIRING FUTURE INNOVATORS THROUGH CODING TECH CAMPS (JHS LEVEL)
Our Coding Tech Camp initiative has introduced 150 Junior High School students to the world of coding, programming, and essential digital skills, including app and web development. For many participants, this marks their first exposure to technology, igniting a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
The program culminated in an exciting programming competition, where students pitched creative digital solutions to real-world challenges. Winners received prizes, reinforcing the value of their efforts and motivating continued growth in technology. This competition not only showcased the participants’ newfound skills but also fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and a spirit of innovation.
Notably, over 40% of participants were young girls, reflecting our commitment to bridging the gender gap in tech. By nurturing talent and confidence through both learning and competition, we are equipping a generation of future leaders ready to drive technological advancement and create meaningful change in their communities.
PREPARING THE YOUTHS FOR TOMMOROWS DIGITAL WORKFORCE (SHS CODING TECH CAMP)
Our SHS Coding Tech Camp continues to transform lives, equipping Senior High graduates with advanced skills in mobile app development, data analytics, and digital entrepreneurship. Over the past two months, 100 youth, including a majority of young women, have benefited from this program.
Participants engaged in project-based training, creating real-world solutions while building foundational skills in coding and programming. This hands-on approach fosters confidence and readiness for tech careers or entrepreneurial ventures, preparing them to thrive in the digital economy.
