Who We Are

Empowering Ghana’s Youth Through Digital Innovation
At IT For Youth Ghana, we are a forward-thinking non-profit organization dedicated to equipping Ghanaian youth with the digital skills they need to thrive in today’s technology-driven economy. Founded with the vision to bridge the digital divide, we are committed to ensuring that no talented young person is left behind due to financial or geographical barriers. Our programs provide free or low-cost training in essential IT skills, empowering underserved communities with access to the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

To bridge the digital divide by empowering underserved youth with high-quality IT education and career development training. We foster innovation, digital entrepreneurship, and equitable opportunities, focusing on women, physically challenged individuals, and financially disadvantaged students.

Our Impact

250 YOUTH TRAINED IN OUR CODING AND TECH CAMP INITIATIVE

Tech Empowerment for Employment and Entrepreneurship Initiative

Through our six-month training program, we have equipped 200 youth aged 12-24 with essential IT skills, including coding, web development, graphic design, and data analytics. By combining practical learning with internships, we prepare participants for careers in tech or to launch their own entrepreneurial ventures. Bridging the Opportunity Gap in Technology
Access to technology education is a privilege not afforded to many young people in Ghana. Financial constraints, lack of infrastructure, and limited awareness create barriers for talented individuals with a passion for IT. At IT For Youth Ghana, we’re leveling the playing field by offering innovative programs that transform challenges into opportunities. Organizational Leadership and Team

Behind every impactful program is a dedicated team of professionals, volunteers, and mentors. Led by experienced educators, technologists, and community leaders, our team shares a passion for empowering youth and a vision for a more inclusive digital future. Our team includes:

  • Peter Duodu, Executive Director and Program Lead, holds a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Research and has extensive experience in youth training programs and digital inclusion.
  • Board of Directors, made up of individuals from diverse educational backgrounds, with vast years of experience.
  • Team of Software and Computer Engineers, each bringing relevant skills in curriculum development, program management, and community engagement.
  • Mentorship team, these are experienced professionals across Europe and Africa who empowers our beneficiaries and guides them with their experience.
